살아가다보면 많은 사람과 만나고 헤어지기를 반복한다. 그 만남 속에서 또 다른 삶을 경험하게 되고 그 경험을 토대로 난 한 단계씩 나아간다. 내 그림 속에 비춰지는 인물들은 나하고 관계된 사람들이다. 내가 좋아 하는 사람, 내가 사랑한 사람, 나의 우상 등.. 그들과의 만남은 어쩌면 나하고의 인연이라고도 할 수 있다. 그 인연을 표현하는 것에 있어서 내가 잘할 수 있는 방법으로 그들을 표현한다. 내가 음악을 잘했다면 당연히 음악으로 그들을 표현했겠지만, 난 그림을 그린다. 내가 할 수 있는 표현 방식은 그림이다. 
그림으로 그들과 대화를 나누길 원한다. 그림 안에 있는 그들은 이미 지나가 버린 그들의 과거이다. 나를 만나고 지나쳤던 그런 과거 속에 그들의 삶이 있고 그들의 역사가 존재한다. 그 역사와 그 삶은 나하고 관계된 인연이라는 굴레 속에서 또 다른 역사를 만들고 그 역사는 다시 한번 다른 이의 역사가 된다. 

In life, you get to meet a lot of people and make relationships with those people. Through those relationships, you get to experience new life, and that will bring you one step-up in your life. People in my works are somehow related to myself. Some are people I like, some are people I love, some are my idols, and etc.. Maybe it is my destiny to meet those people. I am trying to express those relations through what I am really good at. If I was good at music, I would have express those relations through music. However, I am an artist. That is why I try to paint what I want to show about those relationships. I want to communicate with people through my paintings. People in my paintings are the image of those people's past days. It shows their past days and their own histories. Each personal history meets and makes a new history which will influence another person's history. That is how life goes on.
